At dawn or sunset there are these fleeting moments which are majestic, dramatic and yet they are radiating stillness and calmness. The light is changing and with that, these moments hold the promise of endings and new beginnings. If we are present in these moments with the right amount of gratitude, awe and open senses, we feel elevated, calm and deeply connected. Note to self … seek more majestic moments!

Life is a journey that we are all taking. Some are holding back because of fear, or to not intimidate others, or because of low self-esteem. It is your life. It’s one of a kind so don’t compare! It is better to do what you think is right for you and if it goes wrong course correct. You don’t want to hurt anybody, but sometimes it happens. Apologize, mean it and make better choices, but never stop following your dreams or passions.

We live in a world where looks and lives are portrayed often in a perfect way, especially on social media. That can put a lot of pressure on us. What if we embrace the not so perfect moments, looks, situations as different, special or normal? What if we see it as part of finding our way, ourselves or bravely trying something new? What if we curiously focus on the joy of what is and not of how it should be?

Every morning, I can make a choice to open towards the light. I open my senses for the warmth of the sun, the feeling of wind or rain or touch on my skin, the smells that surround me or that I choose to bring into my life like tea or perfume or flowers or herbs and the sounds that can be heard, when being still and truly listening. Using the senses brings me in the here and now and this is where life happens, and bliss can be found.

Sometimes magic happens when we brainstorm. We start to throw crazy ideas into the mix, old structures start to break open, our ideas flow freely and then something new is taking shape. Creative processes are messy, and crazy and beautiful at the same time.

Every morning is a new beginning and as we are waking up, we have an important choice to make. Where will I direct my attention? Will I start my day with gratitude for what is wonderful and good in my life, and count my blessings? Or will I start to feed the negative thoughts and fears to make them show up more? As soon as I open my eyes, I choose to look for the good stuff in all that I am experiencing, and it really works. Happy thoughts start to bubble up and my little world becomes a better place.

I am I the middle of blooming. My soul is in full swing becoming deeper, more relaxed and I find it more beautiful by the minute as the self-doubt and self-sabotage is subsiding. My outer shell is showing signs of losing the freshly opened flower beauty, but it shows a face that has more signs of lots of laughter and life that has been lived in all what it brings. I choose to ride out my own blooming season with all that it brings and not “fix” myself up to look half my age when I earned the signs of a full life.

Do you feel you get pushed or pulled through life and it seems to go faster and faster? Maybe it even feels like the wave of life is almost rolling over you? If only you learned how to surf the wave, find the way out of the tunnel towards the light and maybe even see some of the beauty that also surrounds us in that rush. As long as your are standing up, you can influence the direction and the experience.

As I traveled through my life, I had moments that inspired me to re-invent my next part of the journey. I recognized that there was a desire to be or do something different, there where thoughts that got in the way of following my desire and then there was a moment where I took the decision to follow my heart and change what needed changing. A new beginning, that was informed and influenced by what I already knew or who I already was in the past, that brought new movement and freedom to become who I wished to become or do what I wished to do. In the center of this picture there is a small insight of what this picture was before I let my creativity run freely and change it to what it is now. A representation of the flow of life and how it can change any time your desire and your willingness to act, comes together.

Do you know the feeling when your life or your thoughts start spinning? It goes faster and faster, and more and more things come into this whirlwind. You can find the eye in the tornado and have a quite look at what is happening, or you can use the spinning energy and use it to move forward. Now, wherever you look, your journey will take you, so why not look rather upwards than downwards!?

Colors have a direct connection to feeling, at least for me. Sometimes I have days or hours or minutes where I feel blue. This could mean I am contemplating and sometimes it feels more like sad or a bit down. Over the years I have learned to recognize these feelings and if the blue goes into the sad corner, I consciously look for the hidden beauty in that moment, that is always around us too, even a rusty old metal can be beautiful, if you look at it from the right angle and with a little bit of light. As soon as I let go of comparing or expecting something specific, and truly see the moment for what it is, and what is beautiful right now in what I learn, see, hear or what it could become, my spirit dives joyfully into the blue.

Looking ahead can happen in many different ways. We can plan the future, anticipate what will happen. We can look forward to what might happen soon and feel excitement. We might at times look frightened at what might be around the corner. Either way, our attention is not here, it is there! We might even be in a constant rush to get there. Let’s make sure we bring our attention often back to the here and now and see the beauty in each moment, feel the emotions, hear the sounds, experience the dynamic of the moment und connect to what is the only reality that exists. Here we are most complete and at home. See it, feel it, taste it, hear it, be it!

The mind is a wonderous thing. It can cause you sleepless nights or brings up joyful memories. It can dampen hope or inspire to think bigger and go further you every thought possible. Let your mind play and have fun and guide it to help you and not hinder you by limiting or holding you back. It might seem chaotic sometimes, but if you dance with it and channel it the right way it is a beautiful part of you!

Sometimes we like something and think “I want the same”. Then the process of spending time with the idea and putting it into action starts a creative process that can bring new insights, new choices and a new outcome that might have the important parts yet is still a masterpiece on its own. A new abstract that delights the eye and offers new inspiration.

While looking at the many shades of colors, I also see how happiness can come in so many shades. Some happy feelings are warm and bright while others are pale and quiet, yet bring still joy or wonder and new perspectives that can change my feelings to become lighter and full of gratitude. Open your eyes to the many gifts that life brings in so many colors and shapes and ways. See the beauty in every moment.

Sitting at the edge of the water, watching the waves on the sand is a wonderful gift for my soul and a meditation for my mind. Note to myself - do it more often!

A part of life is that we experience difficult or dark moments. Here we have a choice, either show up and deal with it, with a cool, calm and logic approach or tackle this challenge head on with passion and determination to overcome it. Living though difficulties gives our life texture and memories. These are the stories, we will share with our loved ones, once they are over. Let’s live fully and passionately!

Just as theses old pieces of rope found in the sea, you can take what you have and give it a new meaning and with that bring beauty back into your life. Take it apart, look at it from all sides and decide what to do to change your outlook and how you like what you see. We can learn from the bad parts and turn them into better choices for the future. Beauty can be found in everything!

Looking back, I recognized that there where many golden moments in my life that I did not see in that moment. My mind was so busy having internal discussions or focusing on the things that were not so great. Seeing this so clearly, I decided to pay more attention to the golden moments, appreciate them and focus on that is wonderful instead. That changed my life …

If you show up boldly, you will not be un-noticed

There are times when we are sleepwalking. Not aware what we are doing and not really noticing where we are going. Feel your feet on the ground, smell the fragrance of the air, feel the touch of the wind and see what is in front of you.

When you dance in circles, the world passes by you and all looks differently. Enjoy the endless movement, center yourself in your center and allow the time to stop for a short while. Balance within.

Sometimes life is not beautiful and it leaves marks and dents and you don't like what it does to you. That is normal and we all experience it sometimes. Recognize it and then find a way to redirect or change it. It might just be the decision to choose a color or next step and start anew. Why not? Your choice. No harm. Give yourself permission to decide and take action. Be open and see where it could go. WHAT IF .... I choose this new color I found and start from here. then I see the marks and plots underneath that are still there, but all of a sudden they add character and make it interesting. All of the sudden they become beautiful and I am proud of it and happy I allowed myself to choose this color and this next step. Now I am back in my game and become brave. What if I add brown and mix some shades of blue and yellow. What if I take new tool and just start and love the process. Every new start offers so many new learnings and insights. Life is exciting and exhilarating again.

Not every brush stroke or every action is a masterpiece, sometimes the beauty comes out after a few layers of paint or actions or thoughts. Let the light stream through.

Life is often not easy, but it is the best thing to simply show up to life with who you are, simply, boldly, with all that you are - no fuss, no frills, just the honest you in all your layers and colors. You are beautiful they way you are.
